The Modern Fair branding and design by Lisa Furze

The Modern Fair

Fine art in the digital age

The goal

The Modern Fair is a new online store, selling beautiful abstract prints and items. For the launch of this new brand, I was asked to develop a new name, logo and visual identity that would suit the store’s aesthetic and intention.

The approach

The smooth brush script typography, and colour palette of greys and gold, perfectly compliment the style of the designs, and add a touch of luxury and flair without being flashy and excessive.

The name

The name links to the mixing of traditional and new — the way in which artists can create as they always have, but now with the ability to market products carrying their designs to customers all over the world, through online showgrounds/displays/fairs. The positive associations with the word “fair” also add a favourable layer.
